It’s back by popular demand and the prizes are absolutely worth performing for! The Jandowae Timbertown Festival Busking Competition has grown tremendously since its addition to our Festival’s line-up of events following successful RADF funding applications several years ago, which brought renowned performer/singer/songwriter Melinda J Wells to our community where she coached and inspired our local and visiting talent over two consecutive festivals. Her wonderful support has certainly ensured that the Busking Competition has cemented its place as a very entertaining component of our Festival.
Busking for the Timbertown Festival competition will involve performing publicly with any type of instrument or voice at a controlled sound level – YOU bring these to the competition, and WE provide an opportunity to showcase YOUR talent and provide you with your very own ready-made audience of excited Timbertown Festival goers to support you as you WOW them and the Judges!!
For potential buskers, this year’s Competition Coordinator and fabulous Singer/Songwriter, and Regional Coordinator for the Australian Songwriters Association, Lisa Sutton, stated “Many a star has been discovered whilst busking.
