Fine Art & Photography Exhibition and Cocktail Party

2018 Jandowae Timbertown Festival Official Opening – Fine Art & Photography Exhibition and Cocktail Party.

The Jandowae Kindy and Jandowae Domiciliary Care will together host the 2018 Fine Art & Photography Exhibition, with all proceeds from this wonderful showcase of talented artists, photographers and bush poet Mr Brian Weier to benefit these two not-for-profit local community organisations.

With the Timbertown Committee celebrating its 10th Timbertown Festival this year, the 2018 Exhibition opening night will be the fifth time the event has featured as the Official Opening event for the Festival, and as in each previous year it will be held at the lovely Jandowae Domiciliary Care Building in George Street, opposite the Jandowae Memorial Hall.

The festival has a renewed focus on it’s Timbertown heritage and the Art & Photography Show will celebrate the theme ‘Reflections of a Timbertown – Past, Present and Future’, showcasing our areas Pioneers, Poetry, Photography and Fine Arts.

Celebrated bush poet and entertainer Mr Brian Weier (and President of the Dalby Country Music Association) will compere the evening and provide his special brand of entertainment and bush poetry recitals as a teaser to the full Bush Poetry program for the weekend of the Festival.

A few new cocktails have been developed for the Opening Night Cocktail Party – the Log Splitter, Bullocky Brew and Cross-cut Chill, so come along and enjoy an evening of celebrating our timbertown community’s hard work and dedication to fostering community spirit and resilience over many generations.

Prepaid tickets are now available for the Official Opening, which will commence from 6pm on Friday evening, 8th June, and are $35.00 each.
